Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter's height is difficult to judge, with conflicting opinions and photos where she both looks taller and shorter than the average female height in America of around 5'4 (162.6 cm).
Let's take for example an interview with the credible Ebony magazine in 2009 when her height was stated as a "petite 5'3". This is puzzling, as Beyoncé rarely looks close to this height. On the other hand, she appears taller than her sister Solange Knowles, who is officially listed at 5'8" (172.8 cm).
The vastly different heights she appears makes her height difficult to judge. But while there are instances where she can appear shorter than average, there are far more where she looks on the taller side for a woman.

So, What's Her Real Height?
Her height, like many celebrities, is sometimes difficult to judge, often fluctuating due to camera angles and the shoes she wears. In line with the general population of celebs, Beyoncé's height is officially listed as 5'7" (170.2 cm), which is 1 inch taller than her real height. Her real height is approximately 5'6" (167.6cm) tall.
Her Height In Heels
So we have already established Beyoncé is 5'6 tall, and when wearing heels her height can drastically vary depending on the height of the heel, and if there is a platform base added.
High heels will give less height than what the heel measures at the back of the shoe. The reason for this is due to there being a pivot point at the ankle joint, and this is where the maximum height is gained. So if the back of the heel measures 4 inches, the pivot point at the ankle will be closer to 3 inches.
On average a 3 inch heel without a platform base will give around 2.4 inches of height. This means that Beyoncé will be roughly around 5'8.5" in classic 3 inch heels.
If we add platforms into the equation then more height can be gained. This is because the foot is raised by the platform, and the angle of the foot is more evenly sloped, allowing for a greater height increase.
As an example, if she decides to wear a 4 inch heel with a 1.25 inch platform, then comfortably over 3 inches of height will be gained. So, the higher the platform base and the heel height, anywhere up to 5+ inches of height gain is possible.
Compared to Taller and Shorter Celebrities in Heels
You will often see Beyoncé looking a similar height to both shorter celebrities such as JLO 5'4.5" (163.8 cm) and taller celebrities such as Rihanna 5'8" (172.7 cm), in heels.
As an example of how this is possible, if JLO is wearing 4 inch heels with a 1 inch platform VS Beyoncé wearing 3 inch heels without a platform, they are going to be standing at around the same height.
On the flip side, take Rihanna for instance, who often wears 3 inch heels without a platform, which are going to give around 2.5 inches of height. If Beyoncé is wearing platform heels that give 3.5-4 inches of height, then they are going to appear a similar height.
Standing with a straighter than average posture also helps to +/- an inch of height.
Her Height VS Husband Jay Z
The most common celebrity she is going to be pictured with is her husband, and his real height can be given as a direct comparison to hers. He has in the past claimed to be 6'2" (188 cm), and by observing him in pictures with other celebrities, when Jay Z stands straight he is clearly around 6'1.5" (186.7 cm) tall.
Compared with Beyoncé, and standing on an even surface and both wearing similar footwear, she comes up to around to his mouth. The average distance from the middle of the mouth to the top of the head for a man is usually around 7.5 inches in length (measure your distance to see). So as an approximate guess this further strengthens her height as in the region of 5 feet 6 inches.
So, What to Believe?
When asking how tall she is, there is no better person to ask than Beyoncé herself, and in the below video she states "5'6" or 5'7" and 5'10" in heels".
To conclude, I believe she is being honest here, as she probably wakes up nearer 5'7", and goes to bed at roughly 5'6" inches tall, meaning that with 4 inch heels she would stand between 5'9" and 10.
